PORTCULLIS MISS OUT IN NARROW DEFEAT

Week Seven of the 2016 Aberdeen Grades Season saw Portcullis take to their travels to Mineralwall Park to take on Stonehaven for the first time in Grade Three.

Both sides have had contrasting starts to the season so far. Stonehaven have been battling at the top of Grade Three, lying in third spot, vying for promotion with Grampian and Siyapa. Portcullis, on the other hand, have been battling at the other end of the table lying in the third bottom spot as they battle to stay in Grade Three.

Dunecht Thunder Does For Portcullis.

Week Two of the 2016 Grades season saw Portcullis finally get their league campaign underway with a home fixture to Dunecht.  Week one had been disappointing as an unfit pitch was to do for the opening fixture.

Outdoor Practice begins this Wednesday.

Portcullis CC begin their outdoor practice sessions on Wednesday 13th April - 6pm at Duthie Park (Weather permitting!). All players of all ages, sexes, standards and all walks of life are welcome to attend and join in the fun!

Indoor Practice - Sunday April 3rd.

This Sunday sees Portcullis take part in their final indoor practice of the 2016 season. Indoor practice will once again take place at Sheddocklsey Sport Centre on Sunday April 3rd at 10am till 12pm. All members old and new are welcome to attend. Portcullis are constantly on the lookout for new players. We are a socialable bunch who enjoy their cricket and we always welcome new faces. Why not come along?!

Once again we herald spring and the beginning of a new cricket season! Portcullis CC  welcome another season in Aberdeen Grades Cricket and, as always, are on the lookout for new (and old) players to join our ranks.

Indoor Practice Sunday 6th March.

Sunday 6th March sees Portcullis participate in their fourth indoor practice of 2016 as the club gears up for the new cricket season.

The indoor practice will take place again at Sheddocksley Sports Centre from 10am till 12pm. All members new and old are welcome to attend.

Portcullis are always on the lookout for new players. If you want to see what we are all about, why not come along? You will be made very welcome!!!

Farewell to Mo the Maverick

It is with a heavy heart to give the sad news that Portcullis have finally lost their maverick talisman Muhammad Bilal Farooq. He has upped sticks and gone back to Pakistan. Although his presence will not grace the Aberdeen pitches no more the memory of his performances will live on in the lower echelons of the Aberdeenshire Grades.

Portcullis Cricket Club will be holding their second Indoor Practice on Sunday 7th February at the Sheddocksley Sports Centre between the hours of 10am and 12pm. All new (and old!) members welcome.
